Embarking on a New Journey Together

Hello

Bonnie and I are excited to welcome you to the very first post on our blog. Starting this journey is a milestone for us, and we are thrilled to have you here as part of our community. Whether you’re just passing by or plan to stick around, we hope our blog becomes a place you visit for inspiration, information, and meaningful conversations.

Why We Started This Blog

This blog, of course, is driven by our desire to reach as many people as we can with the message of our first book series – The Action Hero Series. We are passionate about these books with their simple, yet powerful, message. These books remind us to “see” the child, to engage with the children in our lives at a very deep level. When we do that, we can act in a way that is encouraging and confidence building.

In our first book, My Dad is an Action Hero, we see the interaction between Dad and Son. (The Mom books are coming soon). In My Dad is an Action Hero, the repeated line states, “Dad saw and acted.” Can you say that about your Dad? I couldn’t. Fortunately, I am reconciled with my him and he is now one of my heroes.

So, did your Dad “see” you or did you have to perform to get his attention, or worse, be invisible so you wouldn’t get his attention? When your Dad looked at you did he understand what a treasure you are, or did he see a problem and, in exasperation, ask “What now?”

If you had a very positive experience with your Dad, you are greatly blessed and very likely in the minority. If you didn’t, these books will help you break that cycle and become a hero. Here. Now.

Here’s to the Heroes.
