A rolling rhythm or rhyme to read aloud, pulls you right along. A tight poetry meter is so satisfying. Though I don’t always achieve it, I sincerely admire a succinct wording or clever turn of phrase.
Why do I write? Sometimes life pauses for a delightful observation or a childhood anecdote to be preserved. Maybe a deeper insight is processed on paper.
And all of it, I want to share at reading time.
If we feel moved, or see something through another’s eyes, that’s enrichment, right?
If we can all pile onto the couch and go on a storybook adventure, without even packing the car….I’m for it!
